Question OZ spoiler (-center pillar) or EVO VIII Wing

I have an 02 OZ which I am contemplating a new wing.... I already have the OZ Spoiler and Have the center pillar removed. I have just been thinking about getting the EVO VIII wing recently. I have the Erebuni Racing Style CF hood being installed while some hail damage is being repaired, and thought that the EVO spoiler might look great along with the hood. No pics.... It is in the shop until the first of next month. Let me know what you think.... Low- profile OZ spoiler (- center pillar) or EVO VIII wing.

Well, IMO, we don't drive an Evo, so why do you want to look like one? Or at least have the same spoiler? There are fewer and fewer Lancers out there with the stock wing. Try and find something original. THe stock one almost is! Anyway, I just think that there are too many ES/OZs out there with Evo 7 and Evo 8 wings on. Its really up to you. Good luck

For the love of God don't get an Evo wing.

Keep yours.

I have always liked the low-pro look.... That's why the ugly center pillar is gone, it looks 1000x's better. I am the only modded Lancer for a few hundred miles that I have seen, aside from some with alteezas (hardly a mod), and I just look for ways to be "different" but with good taste. (BTW there are only a handfull of EVOs around here too, maybe a dozen, I have personally only seen 3). The EVO wing is the only wing I like other than what I have.... I am not wanting to go into the realm of rice just to be "original" most other spoilers out there are hideous IMO..... I don't even like the Ralliart humpback looking wing. I am not at all trying to look like an EVO, the Erebuni hood is hardly an EVO hood it is quite a bit different. I also like the WRX wing, but think it is dumb to cross-breed my car. I want what ever I do to be unique, but still look like it came from the factory with it. So the EVO wing just seems to be the obvious alternative to stock.

^^ Your reasoning is understood. Do what YOU think will look best on your car. You will always get both sides on the forums.

at least it's better to have an evo spoiler than having aluminum spoilers....but IMO, evo spoilers doesn't look good on non-body kitted lancers.

yeah... I always do go with what I really want in the end, the problem is that this one is truely a toss-up for me. So I want to hear both sides, and their resoning behind it.

IMO the E7 wing matches our body style a bit better than the E8 wing. If your already getting a C.F. hood, why not go with a C.F. small wing too?

I like the EVO spoiler also for the CF deck with painted sides... The hood will be painted with the exception of the recess for the vent and up too the cowl. So the 2 tone spoiler would look nice. BTW the underside of the OZ spoiler is already flat black, I did it when I filled the holes from the center pillar... Reduces the glare in the rearview mirror at night on a white car and looks good too

stick with stock spoiler, yes the evo spoiler is much better than those riced out aluminum wings, but the evo spoilers are cop friendly-it will attract cops. there is no need to resemble one at all.

Thats how I got my Evo wing...guy swapped spoilers with me. Thought it attracted too much negative cop attention, which is true.

I;ve got an evo 8 spoiler, cause i dont like the oz one. i guess i'm just a "wannabe". i love the evo style, so i gotta have my car look like it. IMO my evo wing is what makes my car look nice. Everyone usually compliments me on the Spoiler FIRST before anything else..
