I won't argue, I'll let the other members convince you that I am right, and that ken style from ABK is a copy of the kenstyle.co.jp kit.

Just check the rear bumper from the bottom picture (ABK kit) and the second picture (real kenstyle).. and you see that it's not the same.

Anyways

Etienne
you can buy the real Ken Style Kit through ABK..... though i dont know why you would.

they have their replica one, which looks weak, and they have the orignal.

both of them are listed on their products page. take a look.

their replica is labeled KS Body Kit
the real one is labeled Ken Style Body Kit

The reason the apex kit isn't as expensive is probably cause it isnt painted. The shark racing kit comes painted yellow already. but u do get more with the Apex kit

Just email them or fax them the receipt you got from the bank, with that, they can call the bank and reassure the transaction, that's all, not too big of a deal unless you did that already. All I know is that myself and 2 point 0, are very pleased with the quality of our apex kits. I just take it easy while driving. It's safer anyway, especially with a modded car.

Also, to give my two cents on ABK's pricing, I feel that they are merely a very competitive company, that wants to give US Lancer owners familiar with their products and service, thus causing them to go back to them in the future to invest more money into their company. I know for a fact, that I wouldn't of bought my Apex Kit from them if it wasn't $850.00. But the fact that it was relatively cheap, even though it was from Sri Lanka wherever that may be, moved me into investing into it. If they charged over $1,500.00 for all their kits, chances are very high that few if any people would buy it from them. They'll search the web and find the place with the same kit for a few hundred cheaper and buy it for the lower price. Seems as if ABK is trying to keep Lancer owners invested in their company and with their products. Yeah, they don't make tons of cash right off the bat, however, in time it all adds up, in which seems is what they are trying to do. I don't know though, I could be wrong about my whole concept, and I am not looking to start a fight, just think people should think of alternatives and reasons, before they knock ABK. Just try to enjoy and get the most out of everything.

Wow I can't beleive how much misinformation goes in this thread.

I think it's a lost fight to try to convince you that ABK DOES NOT sell the kenstyle kit made in japan, they make a copy of it for a fraction of the price, and quality. It's like a kit car, looks like the real one, but cheap as a kit car!

Anyways, think what you want it won't change anybody's life.

yea man, etienne's right.
i asked them and their kits are made in sri lanka. i'm not putting my money on something i'm not too sure of, i can be wrong but, come on man, this is a country where cheap nike's are made.

and plus i haven't heard too good of a review from their kits, being paper thin, like one dude here said, hes afraid that his is gonna warp in the summer heat.

i'm willing to fork out 2gs US plus shipping to order me an authentic J-spec , grade A, fiberglass kit from Jpn. one things for sure tho, jpn fiberglass quality is 10 times better than what we get in teh states or in canada.

if only i can find an importer....

best thing to do is wait abit til the lancer goes mainstream, like the civic is now, the problem is, so many guys are gonna hve one by then, and plus, after 2fast 2furious comes out, the streets gonna be covered with lancer, ***** man, i hate those idiots who boost their car just cuz its a fad now, what happened to all them good old fashioned guys who had boosted cars WAY b4 the first movie came now (not saying the movie is bad, i loved the cars), its just tthat it opend up for alot for posers who dont know shyt but have the money to boost their car.

its not in their hearts , they just wanna look good.

some might think of me as a ricer, but hell no, i'm under the hood, before cosmetics. can't he all show with no go.

one more thing, the original authentic JPN version of kenstyle, is not even called ken style, Ken Style is actually the company or the ppl who make those body kits. Ken Style also makes other parts and other body kits for many other cars and brands, they make for nissan and others too.

one more reason to prove that bodykit.com is not authentic but replica.

I just got my Apex kit installed on Sunday and my friends were telling me it was one of the best fitting kits they had ever done out of fiberglass that true it was a little thin but that I didnt have to worry about warping in the summer heat. The only really bad part was that my front AND rear bumper reinforcement bars had to come off which means I lost about 60 pounds of weight but if I get sandwiched Im in trouble plus they really really screwed up with my wing they sent me the right posts but the center deck is wrong it wont work. Hopefully they will send me eithere a new wing or simply a new center deck if they do so I will be extremly pleased with my purchase. Sharkracing and ABK keep saying they want to turn there reputation around ok well lets see it happen lets see if they will correct my problem and allow me to install an Evo VII wing on my car.

nice, i'll admit the kit looks phat, even for a replica, but i'm just worried about the thin part of the bumper man. i mean, shyt u even had to remove ur reinforced steel, better watch out for morons on the road, or especially in winter man.

good luck with the exchange of your spoiler.

hey man, speaking of which, the hood is made of fiber glass, but is it thick and heavy? or is it real cheap?

just to let u know man, u can get good deals on carbon fiber evo 7 wings on ebay.

wait a couple of weeks and they'll go down again

seems they are looking on the forum, each time the kit is popular, they go up (went up to 1200$ lately) and then when there are a couple of weeks without any subjet on them, they go back down.

Anyways if you want one, order soon because one user on here ordered it on sept 29th and received it mid febuary!

And I would not remove my steel bars, I mean, in the city (I bet it's the same everywhere), bumping the other car when parking on the side of the street is common thing. And at -40° a thin kit could not hold a second with an impact.
