no i didnt check with Accolade but i dont need to my freind has an evo 8 and i tryed his hood and it fits fine its from VIS Racing and I also know someone that has the evo conversion kit from VIS Racing and i tryed his hood and it fits perfect so im not worried at all about fitment im not sure were you heard that only Accolade hoods fit the Accolade Kit but thats false. I had a great experiance with Accolade with buying the kit and the kit its self but the only problem with the kit was the hood. They told me that it had to be customized to get it to fit right so thats what i did. Now after i had my body guy do it there is no strangth to the hood and its cracking like crazy. So i contacted Accolade and pretty much they denid that they told me to customize it to make it fit and said that its on me that they would be more then happy to send me a new hood at half the price. Why should i have done that when i would have to do the same thing? If you have seen on the fourms im not the only one that has problems with there hoods. Other wise i had a great experiance with them.

 

that looks great man! im feelin it all together like that.... how was the fitment on the body kit? im lookin at the same one and jus wonderin if it needed a lot of work!

So you're saying, the Evo 8 hood fitted fine with the Accolade Extreme bumper From what I know, VIS doesn't make Evo conversion for 02-03 Lancers. The Evo VII front bumper you see on their site is the same as Accolade selling. Dimantha was the one who said that their kit won't fit/match with other kit out there. If you have picture of the hood you just bought ,that would be great, because I am confused which hood you're talking about.

quick question, i thought that small duct on the right side was supposed to be open...right? and when whom ever painted ur hood, did they paint the mesh on the top hood duct blue too or did they paint it black? I'm about to get mine done so LMK and thanks!

 

The duct on my hood isnt open its a close duck for some reason

 

Can't you just take it off? I always take it off everytime it's not raining.

 

what part are you talking about? The middle vent or the side vent? If your talking about the middle vent i dont have the cover on it just the grill witch i painted black
