I went the opposite direction from most of you guys and just got a katzkin leather interior. I didn't think the stock seats were that uncomfortable, but the stock cloth was ugly as hell, so I went with a 2-tone katzkin leather interior. Not only did looks improve dramatically, but the seats are way more comfortable too! I also have TV's in my headrests so racing seats would definitly not be an option for me.

I'm not trying to knock the evo seats, but most people sell them for better, more comfy seats anyway.
I agree with that completely. I haven't seen a pair of used Evo front seats (front only) for any less than $800. Corbeau CR1s cost about that and are more comfy and more secure (for autocross purposes). The only thing to remember is the CR1s are made for about a 34" waist. I have a 33" waist and loved those seats to no end. No other seat I have ever sat in has come close.

They make a wide version which I believe goes up to a 42" waste.

Yes, I had the wide version on my passenger side. The only weird part of it was that is was about 2 inches shorter than the regular version, perhaps to keep the weight specs the same I dunno. My father with his 40" waist loved it, but I'm not sure about people in between 34 and 40

i use my seat for my racing purposes, if i have a passenger in my car while im tracking my car, the stock seat is good enough for him/her. i dont need to shell out another 600+ dollars for passenger comfort
