Well done man. Did you have to take your reinforcement bar out to fit that ginormous intercooler?

If I could make one suggestion, though, do you think you'd ever put a black painted wire mesh in front of the IC and IC piping? I think it'd give it an even meaner look, personally!

Yeah, I have to admit, there aren't very many lancers that have both speed and show quality style, and this one does. There are a lot of lancers with more show mods, but then they don't have turbos. And there are cars with more engine work, but they don't have kits, wings, wheels, etc. This car, like Kontra's, lancerxtreme's (when he gets finished with it), and of course mine (sorry if I forgot some people) is a great mix of both!

Getting into magazines isn't just about having a car that is good enough. It takes some luck, and in most cases knowing the right people or being in the right place at the right time. I also have had the dream of gracing the pages of a magazine for some time now. First thing you have to do obviously is get your car looking and running good. One thing the magazines look for are cars that are different or stick out of the crowd. I must admit, there are some cars that I see in magazines and I am like, why the hell is that car in there! The editors get to pick the cars that go into the magazines, and that is where the luck or the inside sources help out. You can have 20 of the hottest cars and only a few may ever show up in a magazine. I'm trying to help myself out by joining a high profile team. I've built my car up pretty nicely (and still have lots to do!) and I hit all the big shows. So the next step is to make the contacts, and joining a well known team is a good way to do that. The team I'm trying to join was NCCA's #1 team last year and they've had numerous cars get into mulitple magazines. So basically just keep working hard, start hitting as many shows as you can, talk to as many people in the industry as you can, and hope for some good luck as well and you may just get in a magazine someday. Good luck with it, the way you're going with your car, you can definitly get there!

having a really nice non-evo lancer is already unique in itself. Look at RRM's car that got into super street. That car isn't the flashiest, but it has a built motor and is different enough from the crowd that they felt it deserved recognition (I thought it was about time!). So there's hope for us Lancer guys!
