so thats the kit from Accolade right? aren't you scared of the hood flying up as thats supposed to be the case with their hoods right? how fast have u taken it with that hood on to make sure and did u consider hood pins? (if u can't notice, i kinda have the same hood and am about to have it installed) killer ride none the less, i'm lovin it.

 

Yeah that's Accolade. Well I have the same front end and I have turbo too. I've punch my car from 20-95, the car move quick and the hood was just stable (no hood pins, just the latch).

Yeah I was talking about the Evo hood (Accolade TS). Well it's been about 3 months since I installed it and been driving on freeway like everyday and I still don't see any cracks or damages.

 

ya its the accolade evo vii ts kit, the hood is nicely glassed now, no im not scareed of the hood coming up, hood has been nice and secured in there, the part that goes into the clamp has been re-welded so it fits securely...

rewelded you say? it only has a few bolts holding the hood latch to the hood. how was it welded on there then? and so u got the hood, primer coated, the few coats of paint and it was fine?

 

they extended it down...that piece comes off u know, we jus dont weld it w/ the hood there

I had a Mitsubishi car show this weekend and I won best lancer and people choice which is really cool!

I posted UPDATED PICS I some engine bay pics and interior too. At car shows I get kinda bored after a couple hours so I jus take random pics and some come out really good lol.

thanks dude, oh ya OZLancer1, I havent yet hooked up the timer, couldnt find a harness but I did find a tutorial from this guy on the Evolution section, so I might try that out...

dude, that is so sick its unbelievable. and i must say you are helping me out 10-fold on this hood stuff. so did the hood latch fit when u first got it or did it not close. Basically, if u get an extra minute, you would be a god to me if u could snap a pic of your latch. pretty pretty please go lancer go!...i love you...i do...

when i got the hood, no the latch didnt fit what soever, u had to have to guys sit on the hood jus to get a idea of how it would sit.
