I wouldn't recommend installing the harnesses unless you have either a full blown roll cage or you have a harness bar and only plan on using the harnesses for autoxing. If you want to know the reasons for this, do a search or look in the motor sports section. Basically it involves death or massive disabling injuries.

If you attach the seat belt to the floor then in an accedent it compresses the spinal cord so that it crunchs your lower vertebre so badly that in some cases it causes permanent damage or death. He is right. Do not install a harness unless you have a mounting point, such as a roll cage, otherwise you could really hurt yourself.

Fox basically covered my reasoning behind the apprehensions. 4-point harnesses are generally not a wise idea anyways since they have the odd habit of causing submarining, basically you shoot out the bottom of the harness causing massive injuries or death. When it comes to safety you can't do it in little bits, you either buy full 5 or 6 point harnesses, roll cage, solid backed seats, etc. or you don't bother at all.
