should i paint my rims

ok i have 2004 black oz. And i wanted to go with the bronze colored rims cause everyone else gets the black with polished lip. and i wanna stay away from that. Now , i was looking up prices for rims and different rims, but, does any one know if painting them bronze will look good??? and how much it might run by????? if it's a lot cheaper than buying new 17's , 18's and tires, i'll go that route.

it will be cheaper to get the powder coated but still pricey, Ive seen wheels powdered bronze someplace on evom I think but dont remember thread, try searching for that. if you do it right and powder/clear itll look good.

just make sure the grade of alloy will allow the powdercoating treatment. it has to get super *** hot during the process, and if the allow wont hold up, youll get weak rims, ever see a car when the spokes of their rims break? i have, and its not cool.

a lot of guys have powdercoated the oz wheels, and a lot have rattlecanned them. if you do it right, it looks good either way.

ummm... Im not gonna lie , powdercoat is good but I rattle canned a cheap set of rims that I bought that were all curbed up. It was just gonna be a bored project but after alittle sanding to clean em up I used some of that duplicolor wheel stuff and it came out pretty damn good Id say. Especially seeing the junk wheels cost me 100 bucks and then about 30 bucks in paint and supplies. And if I didnt like em I could sell them to some kid for my money back.

If you planned on doing the stock ones, I'd say shoot for the powdercoating.
