if you dont have the shoguns yourself dont rag on them. The skunks and the ground controls are not true coil overs either. we will all benefit from Lancer1 bein one of the first to get the shoguns. The thread is about the Shoguns and Lancer1's install not about bustin on Shogun.

Someone on here already had Shoguns and hated them. I don't have to have them to rag on them. And I'm not trying to rag on them. But so often on these forums people talk about how they found some item for such a great price and then end up *****in about it in another thread a month later. Bottom line is and always has been, you get what you pay for. And no, not ALL of us will benefit from Lancer1 getting the Shoguns. But like I said initially, I do hope all goes well with his/her install and that they like what they got.

I need to get these things installed so that I can let everyone know how they perform. The company claims that they are not just another "spring with an adjustable perch" but they actually improve handling, and will not kill your stock shocks. Unlike many other cheapo coilover companies out there, Shogun manufactures a lot of other products, not just coilovers. A friend of mine just bought Shogun racing seats, and they are really nice, reclineable and everything. And I just got a Shogun aluminum wing that I like very much. So I am hoping that the coils will be a good investment. If they are, the price is right, and everyone can stop debating, and go get them!

Come on man... Everyone doesn't have over a grand to drop in.. take it easy.

personally i want an adjutsable ride height do to living in canada. and i don't have $2000 canadian to drop on teins, so if i can get shoguns for $400 canadain and they fit my needs, i don't care what people think, as long as i am happy. also i can't stand people who have never tried a product but knock it cuz it's not the best.

Amen JC and T-dot! Some of us don't have money trees in our backyard. I am trying to let everyone in on a cheaper (not as high of a quality as Tein obviously) yet quality alternative to the rather expensive world of adjustable ride height.

I guarantee you if you lower your car 2 or 3 inches with these things you will kill your stock struts/shocks. It may not even have anything to do with Shogun but when you lower your car that much it is going to happen. And then you will end up having to spend at least $400 on the RMR Struts, even more if some other company will ever make em for our Lancers, which means you've spent almost as much as you would have had you just gotten the Tein's in the first place. By the way, I don't have a money tree in my backyard, but what I am doing is saving my money, which means I might have to wait a little while longer, so that I can get the Teins. And I'm not knocking them cuz they aren't the best, like I said I hope they work well for him/her, I think it's great when lesser known companies offer quality products at affordable prices, but I still say and will always say that you get what you pay for.

I will just say that I think it a bit harsh to judge a product that you have not tried. I mean seeing as how this a new product for the lancer, someone has to see if they are worth a ****. If you want teins get teins, but don't hate on someone else because they are not willing to shell out the money for them. And not all products that are cheaper are lower quality. There are companies that will have you pay for a name and their product is no better than the cheaper competitors. But please keep us updated ozlancer1.

I am aware that if you lower your car more than 2 inches, it will kill your shocks no matter what kind of coils you have. I don't plan on daily driving my car with it slammed to the ground. I'll keep them at a reasonable height for normal driving, and then adjust them farther down for show.

It's gonna cost as much as the Tein SS' by the time your shocks blow. Even at 2" you're risking serious damage to your suspension. Not to mention you're probably going to have a ****ed up camber and uneven tire wear. Good luck with em...you're probably gonna need it.

The only thing that I am weary about is that I emailed teamautonutz to see if the "coilovers" had any kind of warranty on them. He responded saying that there wasn't any warranty that came with the Shoguns...now as I posted in another thread there is a company called Dropzone who is coming out with "coilovers" and springs for $140- $180 that come with a lifetime warranty...they will be coming out by the end of this month. You can look at them on www.dynamicautodesign.com Now Im not going to praise these products but Dropzone has been around for a couple. Just my .02.
