pics of my battery relocation... 56k CALL 1-800-Ok-Cable

OK... this isnt a big deal here.. but for my fellow auto trans. guys... this ones for you! As many you may already may know... this is a must if you are turboing or supercharging an auto or if you n/a guys want to make a weight balance of your engine and trunk.

Here's the final product.

the positive connection is connected to the Stock positive battery wire.. and i grounded the negative to the trunk latch.

so Much Room to play with now!

I'm thinking about making a relocate kit for our cars.. strictly for people who dont wanna spend time at home depot and other places to put all the pieces together.. just PM me..

any input, comments or question.. feel free.. thats what we're here for.. oh yeah by the way.............. the reason for me doing this.........

have you notice any loss of power to the car not horsepower wise but electricity wise....im in the works of doing the same thing b/c of the turbo i can have more more in the engine bay area

or i might just buy a race cell battery and scrap the idea

pics no show

but you mentioned it was a must for supercharged guys: well, thats not exactly the case, as RIPP designs the piping to fit around the battery (and they throw in a batter package with a small race battery and tray. just thought i'd let ya know

no loss in power... car starts and feels the same. no fuses blown or any of that pain in the *** stuff..... Did you ever use an extension cord for something around your house??? that is exactly the same concept of this mod.
you'll see what i mean when you get your hands dirty. it seems complicated b4 you get your feet wet.. but when your done.. you'll say to yourself... it shouldnt have took me this long. i can do this a 2nd time in under 45-60 mins

oh, in response to the fuse and power comment, thats why you use the proper sized cable. don't expect some crappy phone cable to cut it. Likewise, some 1" diameter 100,000 volt stuff you stole from the electrical company is the wrong direction too

what gauge did you use(8 or 10 it looks like maybe?)? solder connections?

8-10 is thin.... if im correct the smaller the guage the thicker the wire....0 being the thickest... I used 20 feet of 2guage Copper wire from home depot
(copper > aluminum)
i had alot of wire left over...(the more the better) the best wire for this is 0guage or 2 guage (most battery kits online use 0 or 2)... it's a B!tch to cut in half cuz its so thick. i would have soldered the connection.. but i didnt just incase id have to put the battery back in the future.. so the next best thing is a high voltage bolt (also found at home depot) its this big copper bolt with a hole in the middle... you put the wire in the hole... then tighten the bolt as tight as u can... then place the OEM Positive connection over the bolt.. then tighten the Positive wire to the bolt again. then electric tape the hell out of it... sounds confusing so if any one wants pics of the positive connection... just hollerrrrrr
