Tuning would be good. Or simple datalogging if you have the setup on your laptop.

smokin oz03 - pics work for me...
yeah, i was joking about surfing, but you could park outside one of those coffee shop/hotspots...have a cup o' joe and surf away.

the tuning/datalogging aspect is cool. regardless, it looks very professional and is a nice write up.

I guess the only thing that is bothering me is the non-factory look. I don't know how to describe it and not be an a$$.
I admire originality, good job.

dude, seriously, that looks friggin awesome and I want to congratulate you on originality.

its a great idea for navigation, street tuning and data logging.

the ONLY downside I can see is i wish the bracket could be detachable, ya know? I guess you could unscrew it at the base, but what might be cool is a tube sleeve system on one of the larger tubes (small tube slides inside the bigger one) and get like a cotter pin to hold it in place or something.

besides that, very nice.

you could easily make a quick release with a wider pipe that the piece that comes out fits into and a quick release pin. Just use a strong pin so it doesnt sheer Nice Install Marcos looks alot cleaner then i thought it would reading the first couple of install instructions. Do you have any way to power the lap top other then the battery ? Is there anywhere you could hide an inverter to run the laptop with ?

also for DVDs would be nice if u could run the sound from the laptop to ur car stereo, would be really easy with one of those JVC headunits that has an aux in on the faceplate tho.
I aint gonna be doing this cuz I already have a screen and use my cubby, but still +1 for an awesome job and good write up again

I was thinking of that, Do you know any good models that have the aux. input on the face, so I can do that? OR just JVC? (Im not an audio guy)

Also, after going to get some burritos today and parking next to a cop (he thought it was pretty cool & we compared mounts) this girl who loves me (Inside Joke) discovered that it makes a GREAT Table!!!

"This mount is Drive-thru Compliant."
Shes a genius!

While I commend you on the originality, I have to say its not really something I would do myself, like others have said I'd be worried about the velcro holding during hard cornering, plus in the event on an accident I doubt even velcro could hold the momentum of a 2-5 lb laptop. I'd also be worried about having a large pipe sitting right beside me, god forbid a roll over situation. For a show car though its perfect, all you gotta do is paint it flat black or something like that and you're set. Combined with the large tach and the LV you definitely have a show car in the making.
