Neons can look good, on a show car. Personally I find them rather pointless on a street car, not so much because they look bad, I've seen some that looked quite nice, but mainly because of the risks of breaking them on rough road and the problems associated with cops/other motorists. Having a glowing light under your car is just a big sign for cops to follow you and harass you.

well...theyre illegal if the car is in motion where i live, so mine wouldnt be a problem with cops.

i dont remember the exact price but it was a lil over 200 for the underbody....
id say theyre quite durable, been through 1 snow and 1 ice in da last week, i was run off road(the road dropped as well) and got a slight scuff from the rocks/sand but thats it....did a lil pretend rally driving on gravel, and theyre fine and super bright, especially whn flashing

i did the same thing you did, i gotta move them, can't stand how i can see them in a building front's reflection. as i recall there is a space a few inches back (towards the middle) that would allow you to get them up higher, but your gonna have to drill the holes. if you don't wanna drill then your kinda stuck with them on the ss holes and showing.

Are they directional so you can aim them? If they are you could probably tuck them in closest to the center and aim then to the outside and hide them well.

I have LED's on my car. I had to drill in order to get them mounted correctly and out of sight. You definitely don't want the tubes to be visible. If they are, then you will have to move them. Even with the stock oz sideskirts on, if you have them mounted correctly, you shouldn't be able to see the tubes no matter how far away from the car you are (unless you are on uneven ground and you're point of view is lower than the car, but that's getting a little too technical). I drilled my holes and mounted everything on the car's undercarriage. I made sure there was nothing important where I was drilling, and I drilled holes right into the metal. My tubes are nice and secure, and totally out of site. I have kaminari sideskirts, but even if they were off the car, you still wouldn't be able to see my LED's because the body of the car is lower than the undercarriage where my tubes are mounted. There is actually about 3 or 4 inches between the tubes and the edge of my sideskirts, so you may have to move your tubes in a little bit in order to mount them out of site. That's probably your problem. And the glow will still be plenty visible. Also, I've said this in some other threads as well, neon's/LED's are meant to be an accent to something. If you have a stock vehicle, neons don't really do much except make you look like a wannabe. But if you have them mounted correctly, on a vehicle that is nicely modified, they can be a great accent. Especially for shows. I hope this helps you out. Good luck.

How may HP did you gain from those lights? Any dyno numbers before and after??? I think I saw a movie that said each LED was worth at least a few HP. What was that movie again???

I kid, I kid... Good luck with your project.

Like I said a few posts ago I remember a couple pairs I have seen could be aimed so if you did that in the middle of the chassis you can probably hide them completely

I think that the right color underbodies with the right paint color can look real nice I’m not talking about any specific person on here so don’t come attacking me but I think it’s funny that when F&F came out there were neons all over the place and now I hear those same people are completely against them. I think most of them have also been on the chrome and CF bandwagons.
