Question Debadging / "Shaving"

I wanted to do as many of you have and remove the "ES" and symbol from my trunk. I was wondering if there is any special procedure for this. Any good ways to remove them? Does it leave glue marks or anything? I'm very paticular when it comes to exterior stuff, even the smallest thing!

I used a blow dryer, dental floss and goo gone for glue removal. Wax after and good to go.

ok people, how much F'ing trouble is it just to be polite and give me an answer instead of being **** about it and whining that i didnt "search" first. maybe i did search, and searched for the wrong thing? WHO CARES. It's a simple question, it's not going to hurt anybody if theres already a thread like this.

by the way...this like like my 17th post at least....not my first.

and to digdat, thank you for at least answering my question.

dont take it personal, it has happened to everyone one time or another. But when you have over 7000 members on a forum it can get real sloppy with reposts and such. Blow dryer, dental floss, goo gone, check!

i heated each letter with blow dryer for about a minute each, then used dental floss to get them off. then heated the glue for a minute, then used Meguiars "goo-be-gone" and a damp wash rag to get the glue off. after all emblems were off, i did a once over with goo be gone to remove all other nicks. Then i whiped the trunk with a damp rag, dried, then waxed with Meguiars wax. I keep the lancer emblems and mitsu emblem in a plastic baggy in the glove box, in case i ever need them. After i took off the OZ Rally badge, i stuck it on the silver brushed part of the dash, because it was still sticky and i though, hey why not. Be sure not to 'scrape' the glue off with a hard surface, because it will leave surface scratches on the trunk

I took mine off with my fingers and a putty knife.
