Tail light bulbs

Just wondering if anyone has considered changing the rear turn signal lights to red bulbs. Gonna try to get xenon bulbs for the front ones but wanted to know if anyone has changed the rear.

red is legal only showing to the back. white is illegal in the back unless it is reverse lights or trunk light. red is illegal to the front at any time. blue, green, purple, etc, is illegal anywhere. front must be white, turn signals must be amber (cept rear).

EDIT: that's in jersey at least i think. pretty sure it's across the US.

White, yellow, and amber can be seen in the front and the side of the car when car is in locomotion. Red, yellow, and amber can be seen in the rear when car is in locomotion. Reverse lights really can't be white, because it's a confusion for other cars on the streets, they might think the back of your car is the front of your car (stupid point if you ask me).

i thought the turning lights in the back HAS to be amber. the only time it could be red is if the taillight cover is red itself, but you cannot have just a red bulb. if you have a clear tail lens like ours, the light has to be amber. at least thats what i think it is and from what i've heard. someone correct me if im wrong.. bcoz if i am, then im definitely getting red bulbs

reverse lights can be white and should be white. that way you can see behind you when you're backing up. it won't confuse traffic when you're driving unless you're driving in reverse. the car has to be in reverse for the reverse lights to come on.

Check your owners manual.....all the sizes you need to know are in there
