Hey Tako, the out and in thing you are talking about is called feint. It's a type of drift. Uh, just wondering though about when you do it, do you pull the e-brake up when already going back in or right as you are about to go back in? I did it once when already going back but I didn't slide too much so I figured I'm supposed to do it right before I start to go back into the turn.

it all depends on where you are trying to stick the drift,
the angle of the corner is a good determining factor of when to do this,
if its a wide corner you may wanna hit the e-brake more into the turn
as for the sharper you wanna hit the e-brake when you enter the turn...
ill make vids as soon as i can get my hands on a camera...
lol
"feint"
thats right... lol
tendum u___u;;

lol sorry.. for the typo...

also yes... speed is a determining factor...
as you know going in to fast into a slide with a FF is NG!!
umless you have LSD and a lot of *****... lol
but ... i like to enter corners at about 20-30 MPH...
that seems efficiant enough...
but in the touge... hitting the front brakes hard enough (if in lancer w/o ABS)
i can manage to slide the back out
with locking up the front...

that another thing oyu can try.. by going 20-30 mph try locking up the front brakes as you enter the corner... release before the apex and hit e-brake with full throttle...

if you havent noticed i am aspiring to be a FF drifter n___n

hey hey hey rob.. wanna have any 2 cents on suggestions besides LSD?

I live down a long dirt driveway. its real fun to get sideways, does jack up rims tho. my stock oz/enkei wheels are pretty scratched up, although they are winter set now.

Vids are cool.

Man, the Drift Bible is really hard to find in stores out here in Vegas. I saw it at Tower Records ONCE for like 7 bucks, and I was pissed that day because I had just spent my money on my deck. Went back the next day and it was gone! I'm going to go back today to see if it got restocked.

hhahahaha!!
drift bible.. man i got that the day it came out.. had it for 2 hours and then got it "borrowed" forever nice... i have such good friends.. *cough*pieces of sh*t*cough* but... anywho... drift bible is good......... for FR drivers...
there are no good redeeming things for FF drivers but you can try to reenact the techniques...

oh tried another awsome technique last night!!

i was coming into a hard maybe 90 degree turn hit the brakes locking them up, as i did that i heel gas and let the e brake soar like crazy!! while counter steering with the other hand! lol well i make the 90 degree at a 45 degree angle!! man!! i was scared ****less cause alli saw was wall!! my car unfortunately lost grip fo rhte first few milla seconds lol and started careening toward the wall...

but the the tire caught and i swing out violently out of the corner!!
holy crap that was bad!!

but yeah! i think if i work at it longer i can get it just right timing!! lol

hmm also you can use that same technique to do 180s as well n__n;;;
