remove trunk badges?

is it possible to remove the OZ/ES/Ralliart badges from the trunk without without damageing the paint and haveing to repaint the trunk? I want to remove the ES badge from my 2004 Lancer so people dont know what i have, plus it will look better. But i dont want to touch it if it will leave any damage/mark/fade...whatever.
thank in advance

yes you can do it. need a hair dryer and some goo gone or adhesive remover. there are a million threads on it. try searching to find a how-to or to see what other people did. if you have had the car long the pint may be a tiny bit faded but I had mine 2 years and didnt notice to much. you can allways wet sand it afterwards.

I agree on your car looking better, but I wouldnt worry too much about people knowing what you have. Its all about what performance you put into it, and how you drive it.

I used an attachment that goes onto a shop air tool, and it acted as an eraser for the sticky stuff from the letters.

No waxing was necessary afterwards.

^^ When I took auto collision in high school we just called that thing "the eraser". Do you know what it's called by any chance? It does work wonders though... Had to remove a whole bunch of decals for a driving school car that go wrecked. I did half with that eraser in 30 minutes and my friend did the other half without and it took 2 days at six hours a day...

i pulled off my badges and just rubbed off most of the tape that I could then used goo gone to get off what was left and the sticky residue, it works awsome and it doesn't hurt the paint and you don't have to wax afterwards!!

1. you need hair dryer
2. floss or fishing line
3. goo off, goo gone
4. extension cord
5. lawn chair
6. cold suds.... i used corona, but feel free to use something diff

1. plug in cord
2. plug in hair dryer
3. grab lawn chair, place it behind the car (very important)
4. open suds
5. drink suds
6. turn on hair dryer
7. heat the letter "L"
8. feel it wobble, heat some more
9. take a long piece of floss and slowly repeat
10. continue all the way to the letter "R"
11. now, get goo gone and remove all the glue
12. drink suds
13. wash car
14. wax car
15. sit in chair and admire trunk for 3 hours while drinking the other 5 coronas

this is about as comprehensive as its gonna get...

Used Fishing Line to Pull Mine Off.

Hit the Residue with Goo Gone.

Slapped on some badass Zymol.

This is what mine ended up looking like. I like the no Badge Look
