hood lights...

i have some white hood lights, where the washers are. and i was wondering if it was possible to make the blink when i have my turn signal on? i tired hooking them up to the blinking lights on the front end of the car but it blew some fuses. i was just wondering if it was possible to do it and how?

Yeah, I wanted to do this originally with my hood lights, but I just hooked them up to the battery instead, so they were on ALL THE TIME! Kept prowlers and touchy-feely kids away from my ryde @ night. Dude, PM Link286XT. I know he could do it, and he "might" give you a few pointers, if you ask nicely. There IS a wiring diagram on this site, somewhere...try clicking here.

get ready for some good tickets, I dunno how bad they are around there, but in mass if a cop sees you with those lights they'll pull you over and slap you with a ticket

yes it is possible, spliced them into the wires of your side markers to get the relay signal.
I supposed the hood lights are the windshield washer lights right?

I got mine connected to the corner lights, never had any problems with cops and I'm in MA.

Plus, i don't care if people think they are ricey or not. I like them and that's that.

I have the LED on my hood and I like them. Who cares if other people don't like them. It's your car . I got a ticket but it was only ten bucks. I didn't have to remove them but just disconnect them from the power source. The cop told me that I should get them hooked up to a switch inside my car so that you can have them on when there is no cops around

They're the cheapest mod that makes the car stand out. I have to say, it turns heads sometimes.

The thread asked no one what they thought of the lights or how many tickets they recieved becuase of them

So back to his orginal question.........

Yes. You can make then blink with you turn signals.... all that you have to do is splice into the wires that run to the side markers.
