I got my car back from the shop today... it looks pretty decent. After they did the paint job they didnt buff it or wax it. The paint is pretty rough (not smooth like a protected car). Imma be detailing the car myself tomorrow. Ill be clay baring the body for the smoothness and waxing it to protect it. They ****ed up my window tint. They put a couple nicks in the tint (holes) on the windows where they replaced the doors.

Before u give the car to the shop be sure to read the fine lines... after they ****ed up my tint I yelled @ em and demanded they fix it. But the waiver I signed before they did the work says that any aftermarket product(s) they mess up or ruin that isnt originally from the factory, they aren't responsible for damage done to it. They said "especially because tint is soft and flimsy, very easy to scratch when you work with it." I got screwed big time. They also messed up the windows cuz when they painted the body of the car, they didnt mask the plastic and glass off properly. They have a very thin and 10% visible layer of silver paint on it... I have to remove it using paint thinner...

But Im just happy to have my baby back. I have a LONG day of working on the car ahead of me tomorrow (fixing the tint and cleaning the windows with paint thinner).

My car wasn't factory tinted... it was tinted by a friend of mine who owns a tint shop down here in So. Cali

I would have them do it again, but that would just cost me more money.

Gonna rip off the tint on my passenger and driver windows for a citation inspection and redo it @ 2% for CAL SLAM.

this is why i dont let my cousins drive, because i'm not a dick to force them to pay me for the damage, nor am i stupid to let my insurance pay for it and increase my premium.... i'll end up paying for it from my own pocket.... so when my cousin asked to drive my evo, i said sorry no... i felt like a **** but its for the better.......

actually i do let people drive my evo, but only in the neighborhood where they cant go very fast (or spool the turbo up very much) so it minimizes any chance of significant damage (ofcourse after i know they are good driver).... i would let my bro drive my evo since i know i got my parents on my side if he screws up.. then he gets hell from me and the rest of the family

well i didnt read the whole post but i saw u want an aftermarket bumber. what u need to do is find a shop that is cool w/ that. some places like carstar wont do it but if u find a little shop theyll be more willing to work w/ u. but ne wayz i wrecked my front end and got the cf hood and kaminari front bumper, the bumper ends up being about the same as a stock bumper, and it fits very well. the hard part is finding a good shop that will work w/ u
