Got into an accident =[

Well the night started out good, me and my friend and his friend were just hanging out in his room watching monster garage and then 2 other friends came over. we were all chillin and playing pool in my friends game room and decided to go play pool. my friends house has a big driveway, it has a straight part and like a little circle loop thing with a tree in the middle and then a big yard with grass. my friend that came over parked behind me so i didnt feel like waiting for him to back up. he has a pos crx thats all messed up. my friend that i hit has a 2002 lightning. he went thru the grass to the left of my friend and i drove forward to the right thru the loop on his driveway. i went through the grass also, but all of a sudden my friend in the lightning slowed down. im headed for him and im just thinking, **** i hope he floors it or something. i jammed on the brakes and slid on the grass (the grass was slightly wet). i hit right between the back right rim and fender. i scraped up his fender and put a few scratches on his 20" chrome rims. my car is kinda ****ed up pretty bad. my front bumper is all messed up, its all scratched and stuff, right fender is bent, right headlight broke into a million pieces. the hood has paint chips and everythign that was messed up is missing paint and has scrapes and ****. i broke my window washer tank because it was leaking. im so pissed off, im just glad i didnt mess up his truck too bad. i dont really care that i messed up mine because my parents are really cool and my dad said **** happens and we will get it fixed. but its my first car and i didnt expect to hit one of my friends in my first accident. ive had my license since the 29th of last october, havent gotten any tickets or anything. do any of you know how much it will cost to fix? like an estimate, i know insurance is payin for it. today sucked

It dosent sound like your accident is going to cost you too terribly much....probably under 1500. Just a guess though.

Still a high price to pay for being impatient, if you ask me.

At least ur parents are cool about it. If u read my thread "Im so screwed..." ull find out my cousin fux0red up my car good. He reversed into a pillar with the driver door open. Let's just say the door opened 180 degrees in rotation... The door is ****ed up, the fender got crushed also. The damage done is $2300 and I am paying the whole amount outta pocket (Well.. its on a CC for now, till i find out where to get the money from). I cant report it to the insurace cuz of another accident on my record (Im not at fault but the ****ing lady lied and got away with it...). My parents arent helping me pay a shiny penny

I wouldn't have reported it to my insurance company. Fixing it out of pocket would probably have been the smarter way to go.

Out of pocket or out of insurance doesn't matter. The simple fact is now your insurance knows and you'll most likely get raised rates. If you hadn't reported it you could have gotten it fixed the exact same way at the exact same price...without your insurance rates being affected.

if the damage isn't too much, dont make a claim, ur insurance is gonna fly up, especially if ur at a young age, u said u just got ur license? ur premium is gonna up way high.

better off fixing it urself with pocket money.

remember...

i told my parents to go to a junkyard to find the parts but they keep insisting that we just get it done by the dealer. they pay for the insurance, all we have to pay is the deductible. we already pay like 500 a month so i dont know if its going to go up too much. and im going to show the insurance company my report card so the prices are going to go back down. im a good student and in florida that effects your insurance.

Joka your insurance will probably go up another 30 or 40 bucks a month if you report it. Is your deductible 500? It takes 3-5days for any parts when dealing with mitsu, it won't matter where you take it. I reccomend reporting it, and making your insurance company getting your a rent a car till your baby is fixed.
