is accolade a reliable brand to buy a body kit from?

 

Thats like asking if AEM makes intakes or DC Sport makes headers....

just figured id get some input, not too hard to reply. i did search btw, nothing too specific though, just curious-- peoples thoughts may have changed

 

from what i know they are a good reliable company.

 

There have been to many threads about Accolade being reliable. Most of them end up being one big old flame fest. The people that have had a no problems with them, love them and the people that have had problem with Accolade, hate them. I don't know and I can't state an opinion because I have never dealt with them. Like I said, this has been covered way to many times.

 

Accolade is the number one whipping boy around here from what I observe. The funny thing is, is if the amount of people here had each been screwed by them, why would they still be an active vendor here. It's the pile-on mentality, I'm sure more than one person who thought he was qualified to do bodywork in his garage might have had a bad experience with Accolade. It's the nature of the product they sell. I would hate to provide customer service on a body-kit, especially to less than qualified installers.

 

My view:
price - good
product quality - inconsistent, mediocre, bad

 

yes, price is GOOD
design is BAD
Quality is ......

The #1 answer - IT DEPENDS.

Half of Accolade's customers have gotten great parts and service.
Half of Accolade's customers have gotten ill-fitting parts and poor service.

Caveat Emptor.

 

Highest ranked vendor for base lancer we are... for good reason. you decide, but dont fall victim to group think.

 

I agree completely!!!! I've been on both sides of the fence on this one, but Dave and Dimantha always seem to come through for people who don't Be itch and moan and tell people not to buy stuff! Most vendors have been bashed at one point or another. This question is sort of like asking if Gran Turismo 4 is a good game or not! Some like it and some don't! There were people moaning about not getting carbon fiber parts from various vendors because of the cf shortage, it took Accolade about 5-6 months to get my hood and Dave made sure that I got all my stuff at the same time. The way I look at it though just go with whoever can give you the best price.

BTW - no opinion, other than having read some of the Accolade threads, there are some unhappy people and some happy people. One of my mottos, "where there's smoke, there's usually fire."

 

Dave is a great vendor. Ive had no issues with accolade. Will buy from again... Sometime.

 

Thank guys for your support, we are good, and we need support to continue to improve and evolve what we do... we are I guess the best though in what we do for lancer... hands down in my opinion.
