the first pic is just the mold without the bondo and some photoshop to het an idea of what i wanted

these 2 are after i got started with some bondo

its kinda like a ralliart grill but the opening is alittle different, ket me know what u think

Not bad, are you gonna put some mesh there, or leave it without mesh?

might wanna try taping up your bumper while your test fitting it. Looks like you have some scratches already. Did you use fiberglass to make the initial shape for the grill. Might turn out to be a lot lighter if you do.

Oh, and nice job btw nice to see people trying to make there own creations

thanks for all the comments, yea im going to put some mesh in there,as for the bumper being scratched theres tape already on there in that pic, i used clear tape on the hood and bumper. for the intial shape i used foam to shape it the covered the foam w/ bondo.i was thinking of using this grill after i get done to try to make another fiberglass one too

so you just put foam there and then bondo to smooth it out.... ur not gonna put any fiberglass or anything over the foam??? i thought u use the foam for a mold and then lay fiberglass on it and you get ur grill or something like that.... didnt know foam can be used by it self

foam really cant hold by itself ,i put bondo on the front and back so it seems pretty stong right now. also u cant put fiberglass over foam either cause it kinda melts it, found that out the hard way. ima see what happens with this if its not strong enough when i get done putting bondo on it im going to fiberglass over it to strengthen it
