evo VII spoiler installed!

i got my evo VII spoiler from mitsuozboi yesterday and i got it painted last night. this morning i put it on at work and here's a little picture of how it turned out. we manhandled it a little bit so there are a few small spots i will need to touch up, and i plan on giving it another coat or two of clearcoat next monday. sorry the picture was taken from so far away, i just got home from work.

looks great! Next, DIY black housing headlights or if you can afford cedias, do that. The black housing headlights look great on y01. atilla, we should hold down a ri/ma/ct meet this fall. i'll take ya for a ride in a 240whp oz rally. You will never buy another exterior mod again, period.

mmm, 240whp. you'd have to burn my buddy in his WRX so he could respect my OZ just a little more.

cedias would be nice... but they are definitely out of my price range. i did try the black headlight mod, but i just knew i'd break something and stopped before i got them open. i have a knack for breaking little plastic anythings on cars.

and yeah, the black center rocks... i should have bought a better gloss black, the can i did buy was spitting all over like crazy. i may put a few more coats of the black on the top of the wing before i put more clear on just to try to even it out. either way i will probably have the whole *** end of the car taped and papered off for most of the day monday. i COULD take it off but i'd want it back on the car by the next day so that would probably lead to similar paint damage just like what we already did to it at work.

I did the same thing with the middle hole except I just got a gloss black plastic peice at a napa and siliconed it onto the trunk. It held for about 3 weeks until I got my CF trunk. I coulda left it like the forever. it didnt look horrible and it kept water out.

i'd take a picture if it wasn't so dark outside right now, it was really easy.

to plug the brake light wire hole for the OZ spoiler we dug through this half a wrecked van we have out back at work until we found a flat rubber grommet, heh.

thanks for all the guys who said it looks nice. i am probably going to have to go over the center of the wing with the black again to even it out, and i have a little touching up to do on the side pieces... but for what it is (a $70 paint job) i appreciate the praise!

i will try to take some better pictures after work tomorrow if my girlfriend doesn't yell at me for using the computer and reading my "car stuff" all day.

once i get her driving standard she will lighten up a bit... maybe. so far she can do 1-3rd gears perfectly but she's yet to take the car on the road, hehe.

here are the better pictures i'd promised. i ended up repainting it because my neighbor who was helping me left some stripes in the paint that i needed to even out. enjoy!

you can also see the little grommet that i painted to fill in the center hole.
