last week on my way home from work, I saw an 04 or 05 with evo style taillights. now from all the threads, I was reading, they don't fit... but if they don't and noone has made any lights for ours yet... then someone is lying what up cause I really wanted those lights

They sell Evo "Style" lights that fit. Its just an altezza light with a red tint to the lens. However REAL evo lights do not fit. The shape is different. The Lancer tail lights come to a point in the corners, where the evo lights square off. You can do it with enough body work, but it really doesnt make a huge difference asthetically

 

yeah, like was said. They were probably evo "style" depos for the lancer.

 

are you guys referring the the black depo ones for the 04-06's? cause I didn't know there were evo style ones, unless yer talkin bout the ones for 02-03's.

and for the record, the backup lights on the lancer are rectangle, just like the blinkers, not to mention theyre flush together. the back-up lights on the evo mr, are circles. see the difference?

 

yes i knew that but this guy saw evos style on a lancer

 

yeah i get that. im just showing some people the difference to those that think they are one and the same. i can attest to this cuz for a while i thought the lights were same. then i learned that the chassis codes arent the same and that the lights are different dimensions. same goes for the rear seats.
