^^

Pretty much. I installed mine last year around dec and had it on all winter. Only things you need to do... wash and wax it as much as possible (If you have a garage this is easier). Hang WAY back from vehicles when driving.. rock chips on CF is nasty!

Im putting my stock hood back on probably this winter because im not taking any chances (with the hood at least)

When your vent is open it does. Ive driven all summer with mine open and a Short ram intake. All it does is rinse the engine off. haha.

It helps the heat escape. I really liked to have that option when I was autox'ing it in 90 degree weather. The Seibon hood comes with a fiberglass shield to go under the vent to help keep water out. I use that during the winter.

That's the best part, my header cost more than the hood.

I had quite a few people PM me about winter driving with the cf hood. Its easy. Wash and wax as much as possible. Dont use "snow brooms" or anything that will scratch the hood. (The heat from the engine will melt most of the snow, just get the heavy stuff off). Hang WAY back from drivers. rock chips in a cf hood are the worst! IM taking mine off this winter.

Yes. as imajin said. There are 6 bolts that screw in. I used two with straps attached to hold up my washer fluid nozzles.
