Anyone know where to pick one of these up? Is it a new cover to the light or just a decal?

its a decal that goes over the light, some guy makes em and sells them on ebay. just do a search for lancer brake light on ebay

i was gonna buy this, its only $10, and like $2 shipping, but i changed my mind, it can't look all that great, i always think pontiac sunfire, with the word "pontiac" in lights on the back, always looked tacky to me.

 

to each their own... I personaly think debadged trunks are fugly.... but thats just me so I guess we can't all agree on everything.

 

so you want to have "lancer" on your trunk AND "lancer" on the 3rd brakelight???

 

good point. I was just currious about them in the first place. Wouldnt look to good with my clear tails anyhow.

 

find a way to take off the third brake light cover thing. sand the whole thing with 400 grit. then lay masking tape over it, cut out the letters the way you want or little design you want. clean off the dust with rubbing alcohol, and then spray it with black spray paint. do a few coats and then sand the whole thing with 400 again, clean with rubbing alcohol and then spray some clearcoat. DIY style like how they did on pimp my ride. i did a few for some kids in my auto body class. they loved it for some reason, but it went good with the big wings and vertical doors lol.
