Looks like we will be removing my sway bar while we have the car up on jacks. I made a deal with another dude on here. That means I will be purchasing the Progress bar very soon to replace the stock one

Also, good news is the weather on Saturday is supposed to be partly cloudy. Hopefully the rain holds out until after we are done. Wish me luck

You are going to HATE your car until you get that Progress bar. I've run my last two cars with no RSB (because I was selling with the Lancer and upgrading the RS), and it sucks for both. I don't know how ES drivers do it.

PS - we have to unhook the bar anyhow to drop the control arm. So this is just a little more work. We'll talk about all the details when the time comes.

Bad news. My stupid, idiot of a friend didn't send the test pipe to me yet so I'm not gonna get it before this weekend. I guess we will have to use that "test pipe kit" after all

Post the pictures, you lazy ***! (And update your registry!)

Short video of the idle and rev sound.
(Don't say it sounds like a Honda, dammit. It sounds like any 2.0 liter car with an open exhaust would.)

I finally decided to stop being lazy and post up a few pics...

Some pics without any header

With the Kamikaze

Stock Vs. Aftermarket

How many idiots does it take to get a rubber exhaust hanger off?

As for gains, obviously haven't dynoed yet. I can feel a significant difference in like 3rd gear on the freeway or if I'm going 45mph and drop into 2nd gear and punch it. Obvious torque loss, but hopefully when I get the 4g93 intake manifold and ported throttle body that should help with the torque issues a little bit. Let me know what you guys think.

I'm sure I will get some **** for doing the test pipe...I will be getting a HFC eventually. It's sooooo loud right now. My neighbors hate me!!

More fun stuff from last night...

In-car revving at Denny's. We were kinda worried that staff would yell (especially after the big pop near the end...).

Kevin driving away from Denny's. Wind noise kinda hurts it, but you get a good idea.

And no surprise here:

Looks like the piping would get in the way.
