thanks.. i was worried about putting the letters on crooked so i let my wife put them on.. lol.. first i removed the letters with the dental floss and the hair dryer.. then while the letters sat in a hot bowl of water and dish detergent to degrease them for paint i rubbed away as much of the left over glue as possible with windex and a old t shirt.. then i cleaned the trunk with water and dried it and dried the letters.. then i gave the letters about 3 coats of Krylon Matte Black spray paint.. the paint has a high guard against heat.. its meant for barbeques and shyt.. then i used some 3M double sided tape.. cuttin the tape into small bits was the hardest part if not you would be able to see the tape after the letters are on the car.. in a nut shell.. lol

by the way i disconnected the key hole for the trunk and painted it black as well..

that simple.

i will give it a bash. although i'd be a little worried about putting the letters back on wrong. maybe i will just tape them off and spray them while they are still attached to the car.
