Getting optimal downforce isn't as simple as just bolting on the biggest wing you can find. In your case, what is functional? Downforce on the rear? How much downforce is best? What angle should the wing be set up at? Will this affect acceleration? What about top speed? I'm sorry but if the evo RS can get away without a wing at all (it being the track evo and AWD) you can get away with something other than an erecter set. It's obvious from your other mods that you don't give a rats *** about performance though so go nuts and pimp it out all you want. Hell get neons and LED washer nozzles.

hmm.. maybe its the fact that the evos are AWD.. 'little' things like that are what you should pay attention to.. not whether it has a wing or not.. nice observation..

here are some facts from APR Performance themselves..

"Front-Engine/Front-Wheel Drive (FF):
Because FF vehicles are lighter in the rear, it is important to add more downforce in the rear to achieve more balance. Rear wings and spoilers can do both of these effects."

Why Cars Need Downforce.
Which Aerodynamic Components Are Best For My Type of Car
What Difference Does the Height of a Wing Make

as far as criticizing my mods and taste.. the only thing i dont give a rats *** about anymore is your opinion.. thanks for flaming..

If you like it man, thats all that matters. It may look better if you get a body kit or something. Until then it will look out of place.

Of course the manufacturers of the wing will say it's a good idea, that's a given. People who make harness bars will claim they're great but anyone with racing experience or common knowledge will know that isn't right. Evos are AWD thus downforce can actually be used by them for traction and power transmission. You'd think this would be a good thing yet as I said, the evo RS gets along just fine.

uhm . . who are you ?

calm down sparky, I was making a technical comment not hating. The honest truth is that our cars generate 100hp to the wheels from the factory . . . there aint much we really NEED to do to them at all. So calm down your cyber rage and chill . . its all good. And anyway I considered that exact same wing before i went with the carbon creations so theres no need to get all bent up about it. >=)
