My '03 Lancer ES..
well the coil-overs are practically still brand new.. the handling definitely improved going from the stock springs to these SKUNK springs as well.. i must say i f***ed up up my rear shocks all by my self.. my rear was about 1.5 inches dropped and i forgot i had a heavy *** bag in my trunk and i missed a bump.. needless to say.. a compressed shock held under pressure doesnt hold up very well.. i recently raised to back up to a .5 inch drop and alot of the bounce has gone away.. these thing are great for a budget.. just dont forget you havent upgraded the shocks yet.. dont drop your car more than an inch in the rear.. my front is 1.5 inches lower than stock and it bounces a bit but hugs corners f***en great.. i think if some1 purchases these and only drops their car about an 1 inch all the way around and gets a rear sway bar they will be good to go for a while.. as long as you have discipline.. i just wanted to drop the shyt out of my car.. lol
BTW thanks evo_jr.. i will definitely consider 17's.. since i will be over here for a WHILE.. thanks everyone for the 411 and motivation..
P.S. rims are being post-poned.. every1 is gunna have to wait and see... ahhahaha.. lol

Hey there-
I'm liking what I'm see. I have an '03 Lancer ES and I tell you, nothing gives me more gratification than working on my car. Sure it's not an evo, but it gives me much more enjoyment to have lots of things I could potentially do than very few.
Looked over your post and you've given me a lot of new ideas for my baby, so I appreciate you taking the time and taking the pics to give me more things to work on.
It's also nice to see that I'm not the only one out there who's doing work on their ES. Keep up the good work and look forward to more postings.
(Who knows? Maybe shortly I may follow in your footsteps and add thread similar to that of yours only with my car.)

so would you stand by your coilovers? Im in the market for a new suspension, the TEIN S-Tech springs were great when I first got them, but unless your on the track they are horrible daily driving springs, and Utah is highly to blame for that. I wanted to stay with TEIN, but if those Skunk2's are half near decent, I may have a change in heart, input?

firstly dont drop your car past an inch all around unless you plan to buy new shocks/struts within at least a month.. also keep in mind patience is greatly required for bumps and shyt in the road.. you MUST slow down for them or your stock shock/struts wont last shyt.. another variable is how hard you drive your Lancer.. from my personal experience the rear shocks go out first.. the most comfortable position for my Lancer was 1.5 inch drop in the front and 1 inch in the rear.. the only reason i just recently put it all back to stock height (other than because i can do whatever i want with the height whenever i want) is because my headlights need adjusting..
bottom line.. these *********ers are GREAT under these conditions (without new shocks)..
-dont drop your ride more than an inch in the rear..
-dont frop your ride more than an 1.5 inches in the front..
-dont drive your ride like you stole it..
-WATCH OUT FOR BUMPS!!..

Sweet wash pics.... but, you know I'm gonna say it!!! Where are da rims!?!?
As well, what do you think of a spoiler for her? Not needed.. but I could definitely picture one on your car
I'll be removing my OZ spoiler within the next few days in order to install my Evo 8 one.. In the mean time however, I like your wheels better with the hub caps off... just my opinion thou

all right ill spill my beans.. i bought a CF VIS trunk and CF APR wing from an ex-OZ owner.. there are some issues about the shipping for the trunk with the post office.. hopefully they can ship it to me.. if not the trunk will go to some family back home until further notice.. rims are post-poned until i get all of this settled..
if i build it (the Lancer) they will come (the rims).. LMAO

so I hope your gonna get a carbon fiber hood to help flow a carbon fiber trunk in. It may look funny with that being the only carbon thing on the car... I like what you have done so far.
although I wouldnt have gone with drilled and slotted rotors. Because our brakes are so small those will dissepate to much heat and you will lose some pad performance. they are actually worse then having slotted rotors. slotted are best.
