Well I have DTM racing wheels with an offset of 38. 40 also works but it comes closer to the strut. Anything that tucks in more than 40 (like 42 or 44) might touch the strut.

Let us know what wheels you are getting.

I also have some 18x7.5 racing harts in my garage that have an offset of 44. They DO hit inside the wheel well cause they tuck in too far. I have some spacers on the way to fix that.

I agree with going for the chrome lip.. I find that all-black wheels look wayyyy to much like steelies and ends up negating the money that you spent on them. I also replied to you in my post, and will just add it in here as well that any offset between 38 and 42 should be fine, but 38-40 is likely where you'd wanna go if you want to be extremely safe. My 42 offsets haven't showed any signs of serious trouble with clearance yet.

My advice to you mivac is to go back to your wonderful EVO side of the boards. If you want us all to be like you so much what are you doing in our turf? There's something to be said for us who mod our lancers to customize them to something we love instead of just throwing cash in someone's face to get an instant gratification. If you somehow feel better by telling everyone on these US Lancer boards to get an EVO, or is somehow your way of showing off... it's only making you look like the pompus jerk that you seem to be and you're a bad representation of the EVO community.

yeah sure just go out and pay 20-35k on a car. but us. we go out and pay 5-12k on a car and customize it to our liking and actually use our minds to make our own one of a kind car. yeah there isnt many evos out there hell this is montgomery and i only know of 4 evos. not many lancers at all. but still you go out and buy a evo. great you got a fast car omg lets give him a medal. -_-. nothing bad about evos. but, people who drive evos and put lancers es ls or any N/A lancer down = lazy a$$ people
thats all i have to say.

I bought my car for $5,000. I can't say it runs and performs like an Evolution, but I don't take it to the track to race it and I can't afford any speeding/racing tickets right now, or ever for that matter. I can tell you that people have asked me if I drive an Evo and they will complement me on my car, but anyone who owns an Evo will easily tell that it's merely a Lancer. But so what, if I can afford it at 17 and not have to rely on my parents for money, I think it's great. What I think is ridiculous however, is kids under the age of 18, or 21 for that sake buying 30,000 cars they know they can't afford and at 280hp, it's not safe for goodness sake, learn how to be responsible first!

PS, I don't have Evo badges or a spoiler if you were wondering

Wow, I had 215/30/18's and had to be buying tires every other week.

I personally, DO NOT recommend 18's. Not if you have money for tires. The tires you will be getting are to thin, and will start tearing on the side wall.

Plus those are about $110 at discount tires. I would do some 17's, and a nice drop will do. I believe you already have the Skunk 2 coils. Put more rubber on the wheel.

You will start out with tires, then bending rims, then cracking them. Your better off with a little more rubber.
