My '03 Lancer ES..
dude the calipers look noice in that shade of blue. The build is coming along pretty nice, I'm also going to start on something soon, couldn't get a new car so might as well enjoy what I got now. I'm with you with not investing money on the 4G94, I'm also thinking about the 4G64 swap that RPM did. More power!!! You should get an Evo VIII or IX steering wheel. They're the same design just the formers is silver-ish and the latter is black if your going with the Evo interior thing still. It feels and looks waaaaaayyyy better than the lancer's steering wheel. It's kind of like having a Mont Blanc to steer. (meaning it's a fine driving utensil) Well not that high end but you get the picture. I did it on mine and enjoy it alot, I figure since that's a part of the car that I stare at everytime I'm in the car, it might as well look good, except I don't have an airbag, so it kinda sucks having a big *** hole in the wheel, lol.
Actually if someone doesn't use an object for it's intended purpose it makes them a fool and the product useless. If I buy a rifle and use it as a coat rack, am I a hunter? No, I'm an idiot. If I buy a climbing harness and use it as a fashion item am I a climber? No, I'm probably nuts. If I buy a racing wing and don't race, am I a racer? No, I'm a ricer. Again, of course APR, the seller of this wing, says it's a good idea, it makes for good business. How many harness manufacturers say it's ok to attach the harnesses to the rear seats? How many intake/exhaust manufacturers claim massive horsepower changes? What about the manufacturers of those "power chips" you see on ebay? Taking the sellers word as fact is a very naive stance.
Cadi-Luva - Go for whatever you want mi amigo cubano, you have all the opinions in the world here on these forums, but in the end its your money, and YOU'RE the driver. Not the people who ***** about it.
Performance first - looks later. But he wants to stand out first. He wants to mod later. It's not like he's racing it right now so he doesn't need the stuff you're talking about. Now if he were to actually want to race it RIGHT Now then, ok, I'm with you amby, performance should have been first. Plus, it's not as if he's going to go street racing, so it doesn't matter how his performance on his daily drives should be. If he were to go to the tracks as he is now, then that'd be an embarassing experience, and THEN can you say "I told you so."

lol How is it that by having something and not using it for its purpose an 'idiot'? If you have the money then buy whatever the hell you want. Why have a Ferrari if you're never going to be driving it around? Gee I dont know. Rich people have them sitting in the front of their house rotting. Cars are meant to be driven. But they have it their because they wanted it, and just like it. So I guess they're idiots too then. Cars are for preference, if you have the money and want to PIMP it out, GO FOR IT. If you have the money to tune it up, GO FOR IT. People do whatever they want to their cars because they have the money and a vision of what they want it to look like or run like. Maybe people where he lives don't really race on tracks as much as where you live, so he just showcases it. A tail always makes a Lancer look nicer and tougher. I have an 02 lancer, and honestly, everything to it looks like a girls car except the fact that I have an aftermarket muffler, and I put eyelids on it. The eyelids make it (TO ME) look 'tougher' than without it. It's all preference.

"us" - well you see "prospective rice buyer" the roof scoop adds 20 whp and each decal adds another 5 whp. The universal exhaust is good for at least 50 whp.
"rice buyer"- OMG, i'll take it!
"us" - muahahahahahaha
yes, we knew you would.
a little off topic but good humor.
