i agree with every1s statement.. even though my wing is not aggressive at all and is the simplest version from the APR GTC series.. but why does every1 assume my car will never be as powerful enough as to properly utilize the wing.. i guess every1 just doubts me and my build.. ooh well.. LMAO..

It's not that we doubt that the car could be powerful eventually, it's more a matter of the car not being powerful right now. For me it's also the "mixed" priorities of the car, you have a giant wing meant for racing yet you have the crappiest suspension possible. The wing just doesn't fit where the car is at the current point in time.

I have a question for you. Are you going to leave those rims during winter ? If you have a winter. I guess it goes out to anyone with those type of rims and tires.

most ppl would leave the rims on, just give them a good wash with water after driving in salty roads.
lol link me to rpm's site where you got the trunk?

I think it's awesome that you're trying to create a time attack-style lancer. I have yet to see a nicely done lancer in that style. But I do also agree with some others in this thread that if you're going to go that route, you should definitely do it the right way. I do like the trunk and wing, although right now they don't look as good as they could because the rest of the car is still pretty mild. But I know that you're still in the building process and that eventually it should all even out. But the skunk2 coilovers need to go. I had them on my Lancer and recently upgraded to Teins. I bought the skunks a while back when all i really cared about was getting the car dropped. Now that I've grown up a little bit, done some research, and realized my mistake, I wish I would have never gone that route and just bought the Teins from the beginning. When I was younger, I went the cheap route on a lot of things. Now I do the opposite. I replaced all of my cheap stuff with quality parts, and any other project cars that I build from here on out will always be built the right way from the start.

I'm not trying to insult you or your ride. I think what you're trying to do is great and I can't wait to see the progress, especially the finished product. I'm just giving some advice based on my own experience that can hopefully help you out in the long run.

thanks OZLancer1.. my problem with getting coil-overs is the abuse they will undergo if i were to get them while im out here.. sicilian roads are horrible.. you guys have no idea.. i literally have to slow down and stop before some long stretches of road.. i still have about 3-4 years here too.. so the roads arent just a temporary thing.. they dont get fixed.. and if they do they just throw dirt in the holes.. its a little bit harder to have a clean daily driver with nice parts out here.. first daily driving is a bi*ch unless you drive a jeep (hence reason i bought my wife a jeep).. and secondly shipping is a bi*ch.. 400 via fed ex just for the trunk.. i know exactly what i want and how to get it.. and im doing my best out here.. on very few occasions i feel like giving up.. but support from other builders and my wife helps.. so this is my story in a nut shell.. lol.. fu*k the bullsh*t.. my build wil continue..

if your roads are bad, you probably should have stayed stock. Cos your struts are gonna blow out pretty soon if the roads are as bad as you say. Then you will have to get new struts

and with your extra cash, pick up some performance mods
