I had to rig mine to stay still. After moving around a little it wore a hole in my filter. Actually happened to 2 of my filters. So I would suggest mounting it somehow. zipties FTW!

I have...Had... a stock box... and the engine moves so much that the clips on funnel broke off the car's frame.

The Plastic may be strong, but it's connected to something that moves a lot.. Either way, movement, won't affect airflow.

It looks good though, I've done that sort of thing before.... Here's a link comparing filters, and their respective gains... CLICK

Nice job on the install , however, how long did it take for the ECU to get used to the increased air flow?

during the install re-set the ecu.... then do the usual set-up to let the ecu re-learn and it will make the corrections. I would say it takes 30 min. after letting it idle then taking it for a slow drive.

This weekend im gonna work on the bracket for it. Didnt reset the ECU but i think the car already adjusted to the increased airflow. Oh well i may go dyno it when i pick up the truck just to get a baseline for the car.
