Pics of my "homemade" SRI.

Did a little searching and found what parts I needed to make my SRI. I’m still undecided if I want to replace the tube to the throttle body with a metal tube to smooth out the air flow to the throttle body. Took it for a test run around the neighborhood and seems to have better throttle response. But ill see in the next few days if it’s just imaginary.

4" filter from autozone, with Spectre P/N 81403 MAF Sensor Adapter and Used
1/4"-20 x1-1/2" screws to secure the adapter to the MAF Sensor

View from front of car. Might put the intake tube that attaches to the core support back. Bud dunno if its gonna make any difference.

I do believe RRM did tests and in the SRI application the stock tube performed better then a smooth tube. Looks good.

Good to know. I had noticed on RRM's SRI that they use the stock tube.

dude nice job. but if you dont like ur throttle responce you can always make a couple hour project and take your intake manafold off get new bigger gaskets and bore out your intake. dude that makes a killer difference in ur throttle responce. but yeah great job on the homemade intake looks nice.

This is prolly the last mod the car will see for a lil bit, got the truck coming home from the motor swap. and its got alot of things that need to be done before the 2007 show season.

Wait, the stock tube flows better? Crap, now I gotta take off that spectre tube, but at least I'll be able to use the "support" that I bought for it. Looks good though, I went with the blue filter, but red is the obvious choice for your car.

It probably hardly moves anyway. that stock tube is pretty stiff.
