Ok, i'm thinking of getting a CF hood soon but don't know if i should....how do u care for them? I've had people tell me i can't use it in the rain, and it will fade in the sun, and it will crack in the winter...Well, i live in PA so we have sun, rain, or winter 90% of the year....so, is there something i can do to protect it in the rain and sun? I figured i would just take it off in the winter to avoid damaging it. If i get one, it won't be ruined in 6 months from being in sunlight, will it?

 

As long as you get the CF hood w/ UV protection. You can also paint it with clearcoat to help it protect from bugs, rocks etc.

 

do i get the UV protection from the dealer i buy it from? or do i have to do that myself?

Calvin has a beautiful vented CF hood and VIS makes a real nice OEM Hood too.

yeah i have a group buy but it is mainly for so cal people. they are VIS hoods (UV protected). they are OEM style.
