Fresh Paint Question

So my Ken style front bumper and side skirts got painted today....Finnaly!!! I was wondering if I should wait a few days to let the paint set until I put it on?

I will not be taking it to the car wash any time soon...but should I wait a few days to put the bumper on?

p.s. I need a rear bumper now

i would wait for 48 hours in a dry weather conditions. Car wash will be ok as long as u don't use the soap for 2 months.

Soap is ok... it is was that you need to avoid. Most paint makers and shops recommend about 90 days, but almost all paint isn't fully cured for about 6 months. So, it is up to you. If you wax too soon, you paint will end up clouding over a bit and not look as good.

we tell customers it's safe to wash by hand (since we usually need to wash them anyway before they pick them up), just don't high-pressure wash for 30 days (i.e. automatic car washes) and wait about 30 days to wax whats been painted. as long as it was prepped right, you should be ok.

good luck
