no i dont have any neons, and it wouldnt matter if i did. i was just pointing out the immaturity of you using that phrase. chill with the attitude man.

Neons look good for adding bling to stereo equipment or sometimes interior stuff but having them under and all over the car is deffinately rice and should be left to civics to embarass themselves with IMO

This thread is crazy I had to reply just to make it longer . I'm not too crazy about the underbody neon kit but i did put some L.E.D.'s in my interior. I have them under my seat so the lights shine on the floors in front and back. I just installed the reverse indiglo gauges and also putting blue bulbs so my whole dash will be blue. The L.E.D.'s will match the dash color. Having L.E.D.'s around a sub box also doesn't look too bad. So basically what I'm trying to say is that some lights inside the car are not bad but the underbody I'm not too crazy about , unless I had a show car.

 

with the right amout of ingenuity you can make crap look like a rose. i think neons used in the right way can be cool. but yeah, fast and furious was a movie that gave birth to more ricers. IMO. we all should know how fake hollywood is but some people just don't get it.

 

Underbody neons are quite tacky looking most of the time.

 

I have LED's under my dash and seats to illuminate the floor. They are pretty much unnoticable unless you are sitting in the car. I think it's a nice accent to my interior and I've gotten lots of compliments. I also have a set of LED's behind my grill and my idea to try them there was inspired by 2 Fast 2 Furious. I'd like to know how to change out the lights in my dashboard gauge cluster. I'd like to have it be blue to match the floor lights.

The point of all this is that anything can be nice, even neon lights, as long as you do it with style and taste. You'll find that people that can pull off things that some of you guys like to call "RICE" are the ones that are doing it for themselves and not others. Usually the people that are just doing things to follow and impress others are the ones that end up looking tacky.

 

I'm not a huge fan of underbody neons but I think that the effect works well in some car's interiors. To accent a system or to showcase costom work or something artistic. Underbody neons, however, only look cool on some cars but on others they just don't look right. This thread is way too long...

Agreed. Took me 35min to get here and I skipped soo much... As for my opinion. I like neons. I don't consider them rice because everyone with common sense (there appears to be a lack of that here) knows that the DON'T add any performance to your car and THEREFORE don't make your car look like something it is not. It just adds to the looks. But to each their own...

I plan on doing a red UB set-ut on my car. I already got red LEDs to go inside but I might not put them on.

 

i know this is a lil off topic but how would it look with green underbody neon and blue interior neon for a black lancer ralliart. the secondary color i want is light blue/blue, which is what im going for interior wise and maybe some decals, nothing that i dont own in the car of course, but i liek the green on the outside. and im getting a security sytem in soon and am gonna get either a blue or green scanner bar light. any sugggestions?

 

I was just checking this thing out. And usually I think underlighting is ricey but before when I had a 3G eclipse Speed was a bit hard to come by and I picked up a set of blue street glow gold series. Never got to putthem on and got my Evo. Restocking fee would make me lose almost 50 bucks so I said screw it and put it on my Silver Evo and it actually looked good. Hid the bulbs underneith. Now I have the Grey MR so dunno if I will ever put them back on. But lifetime warranty definetly works. Although been reading peoples posts and why are you guys ordering right from Street Glow? 300 bucks is a rip off. I got my Gold series for 135. New Level Motorsports sells them. They bought in huge bulk.

 

I've got purple inside and out going to put strobes in the front and rear lights

I've got a blue neon under the hood of the car and might put one in the grill

If you know what your doing than it will look good on your ride

only paid 150 for mine got to look out for five-o if you got a sertein colors they don't like
