Srsly, if it's going to reduce airflow what's the point of getting the exhaust, you don't get one to reduce sound.

I don't know of any smaller shops

Do you guys get mandrel bent piping for your catbacks for $200? I know the person who paid $80 didn't.

Mine was not. The owner of the shop I went to said there aren't too many in my area that do mandrel bent piping. It's costly, normally.

Please put a small resonator in there. Get a straight through one and they dont restrict air flow that much. If you dont it will sound horrible. I have been thinking about getting a 2nd resonator and I have my stock cat still.

And just look in the yellow pages for some small privately owned muffler shops. It will be cheaper and they will know what they are doing since thats all they do is exhaust. 2.25 is easier to work around the rear contorl arm and its the recomended size for NA lancers.

Okay so I couldn't get it in this weekend as I planned because the shop closed @ 2
My cuz brought up a good idea that I always like, he thinks I should go for the angled wrx style exhaust (coming in from the side) I've always liked this look and don't think it would look that bad, what your your guy's opinions and does anyone have any pics of this with the lancers?

I don't think you'll be able to do the "JDM" mount style like lots of the WRX guys do. Their exhaust comes from down under the rear diff. towards the center of the car so it can come up and out like that. The lancer's exhaust comes from up and right behind the muffler so it would be pretty hard to get it positioned like that. You would probably need to run your exhaust under the rear cross member similar to the WRX one but then it would be super low and scrape all the time. Otherwise I think it would look cool!
