Its Turbo time :)
Its Turbo time :)
after almost 3 and a half years of having the car, I finally got out of my comfort zone and decided to boost.
So far, heres a quick list, which I will update friday after its complete, kinda in a rush, sorry.
Garrett T-28 turbo, bov, front mount IC, manual boost controller, wastegate, Walbro 255cc fuel pump, 440cc injectors, downpipe, drilled the oil pan for the oil lines today, new gaskets, finally throwin on the crank pulley while ive got the car up, probably a new Boost Gauge from AEM and Air/Fuel gauge,
Ill take some pics when I get around to it, check back at the end of the week and ill let ya know how it all turns out.

Atta boy Justin! I can't wait to see it all completed! Let me know if you need any help with the install! I've done a few turbo installs on all kinds of cars so I know where your at.
engine management, no plans yet, ive looked around and havent really seen any that catch my eye, so im totally open for opinions, wideband a/f gotcha covered on that brotha!! Gains, ya know, im not lookin for anything to extreme, 200+ would do me plenty. Im HOPEFULLY not going to get boost crazy, 5-8 psi would be more than enough for me.

My friend Frank has a Haltech E6X in his car and it's exactly what I'm gonna be getting down the road when I go boosted. The unit has a MAP sensor port built in, so you can eliminate the crappy MAF sensor and let your BOV vent to air for a nice sound effect. I believe it's RPW which has the Haltech E6X packaged with an adaptor harness that can (in theory) be a straight swap of harness wiring from our stock ECU. Eliminating the need to run a whole new wiring harness setup would be a huge benefit. Using a laptop you can tune on-the-fly as with other stand alones. Overall, for the price, effectiveness, and possibility of a plug-and-play wiring harness, I will be going the Haltech route, and I hold it up as a strong suggestion for you as well. Good luck with the project.
PS: Details on where you are getting the turbo exhaust manifold would be cool
