im gonna do this same thing to my interior... minus push button start and all that. black suede is the way to go... as long as you can keep it clean. thats the hard part.

I don't advise doing the dash top with the suede. I'm sure it will look cool and all, but it will affect the air bag, possibly to the point of making it not deploy. If your car is ever involved in an accident with a passenger in it, the air bag will not funtion properly. If that were to result in the death of the passenger, you could do serious jail time because it is illegal just about everywhere to mess with airbags in newer vehicle.

Another point to look at is how bad suede fades. BUT, it will look really good when you first do it.

Either way, it is up to you. I just didn't want you going into such a project without knowing. With that said, it's your car, do what you wish. And have fun with it.

Very true. the passenger air bag would be tricky. you would have to lay it and then trim around the flap that opens so that it could still open. May be tough to make it look real clean. fadeing is another issue. any time its parked you would need to use a sun shade and get your windows tinted. You would have to invest in a nice horse hair brush and some suede cleaner/protector to help with uv rays and dirt. heres a site I found that sells kits for suede. good prices.

Well heres my A-Pillars done in black Micro Suede. My tweeter mounts are really big, so i had them molded into the pillar (same with the C-Pillars), i think they turned out great, and i cant wait to get the rest done to match!

oh and are you using real Suede? or Micro Suede?

thats a great price. A pillars would fade unless you use a sun visor. I also thought about doing regular black leather. I dont think good leather really fades as quickly as a suede.. not sure though. suede is a B**** to keep clean to.

Meh, it's a nice install but I don't think it fits. The black suede contrasts too much with the blue dash, the black cloth seats and such. Definitely not the kind of interior I would want on my car. Sorry but I'm just being honest.

Oh no its all good, I agree. It does look a bit like sh*t overall
The seats are coming out, for the Sparcos to go in (whenever the hell that is..)
and the carpet is being replaced with Black also.
The Rear Seat is gonna be the Suede Evo 8 Seat, but all Black (I have access to pro dyes and stuff, Im workin' on hookin' ya'll up )
The Top Dash is gonna be the same Suede also, to reduce glare, and for that general "Rally Appeal" (..but thats just some bullsh*t I felt like saying; ) however, I first have to figure out how to 1. Take it off, and 2. Apply it without affecting the airbags functionality. It can be done. I've seen it.
So it'll turn out nice, trust me.. I too think the Light Blue is quite a contrast with the Black.. but I honestly dont think that it's gonna look bad. Worst case scenreo, I'll make it all Black. F*ck it.

Oh.. and when the center console is present.. It ties it all up and looks alot better too. I got a new toy to put in that spot

Lemme hold off on that one then, Im gonna post up a finally pic later.

can anyone with experience make a small but detailed guide for doing this, i and the community would be very thankful! just the process and wait time, what materials/supplies to use. how much is the material costing you? sry to bombard your thread like this, but use it as a compliment, it looks great
