eewwww yea dont do it! painting your headliner and stuff like that is one thing, but your seats.. think about how much wear and tear just getting in and out of your car everyday really does.. you would be happier getting some seat covers with some flames and NOS logos on them... lol.

although i admit it would look good, but it does rub off and isnt worth it to me, but go for it if you really want.

I don't know, looking at the material of my seats, it's really soft, I can't imagine paint sticking to them. You might be able to dye them somehow, but that could be difficult. I dyed a set of speakers with fuzzy ***-ugly brown covers black with shoe polish, but that was pretty absorbant stuff, I doubt the seat material would absorb it without giving you a bad case of black-***

Painting the seat fabric is a horrible idea.

Reupholstering or new seats FTW. If you don't have any money right now, save up until you can do it right.

my friend did that dye to his accord. if you wore a white shirt on a warm day it wore off on you...reupholster them is your best/nicest option imo

I'm going to suggest forget re-upholstering. if you go that far, just get new seats. Who the hell wants to dump significant cash into the stock Lancer seats? Get something with bolsters and holes for a harness!

Actually, Im going to be posting a thread about this very subject..
As I am offering my services to refabricate interior parts (PM me with inquiries,)
I can also work with dyes; and will soon be dying certain interior parts.
I have a set of Gray/Black Sparcos I was selling, but now am instead dying
to All Black. I will use these as my demo peices, and post pics.
The Sparco fabric actually has been known to absorb various dyes very well.
Certain fabrics will accept the new color better than others.
Some will bleed, and others fade.. Its tricky finding the right paint or dye.
