The thud noise is the front springs binding and kinda skipping on the strut. When they slide back into place they make a "thud" noise. I dont think it would damage anything but it is kinda annoying in parking lots and such. They send out rings that go on the top of the spring to keep them from moving. So it would be best to put them in before you install coilovers because amby and myself now have to take the fronts completely off the car to put these in which pushes our allignments back.

I messaged them on aim and they were very good about it. no questions asked.

Yeah it only took two email exchanges and they said they'd send the isolators.

^^ lol, I got my replacement rings like two weeks ago and I still haven't bothered to put them on. They don't really make the noise anymore, so I don't want to mess with a good thing. I'll be getting my alignment either tomorrow or Wednesday now

700$. Teins are overrated IMO, you get less actual coilover for way more money.

I've heard that D2 and Ksport is one in the same, they just sell them to different markets.

mine were pretty straight forward instaling, they came with all parts neccesary and have been driven for 30k with no probs. in my opinion, i don't think years and years of racing and revising they're product have "overrated" them. quality product, decent price point, good performing, and reliable.

I just checked, D2 doesn't make anything for the lancer anyways.

IMO, the coilovers they provide for the lancer are nothing special. Sure they're Tein, but they're also the bottom of the ladder Tein. I doubt the same amount of research that goes into their top-level models goes into their basic and superstreet kits. I just don't think they are worth what they charge for them. 800$ gets you the basics that don't have dampening adjustability, pillowball upper mounts, camber plates or even upper mounts.

this is true, its a basic unit, hence the name basic, no one will argue the features you claim on the ksports, overall quality i'll stick with tein. Amby are you trying to insult peoples intelligence concerning the time spent on more advanced systems compared to the more elemntrary system. Of course more time is spent r and d'ing the more advanced system. We shall see what setup proves more durable, i don't mind ever admitting im wrong, so i'll post if i have any probs and i suspect you have the same mindset.

If I'm wrong I'll openly admit it but I think for something like suspension there really is no wrong choice (save for crappy coilover sleeves). Some people love Teins, others think they're crap, it's just the nature of the beast.

agreed there are options, and they will be exercised, subjective.
