Finally got new tires today. I had 215/40/17s and decided to get more tire with 215/45/17 (plus they were in stock). So now my car rides much smoother and I got rid of some of the wheel gap. I think it looks waaaay better. I'll have pics tomorrow during the day. Also got a good story about the visit to Discount Tire.

Ok, pics tomorrow for real. So the story with Discount Tire. I took my car in to get new tires, and they pulled it into the garage into the bay closest to the big window that you can watch the garage through. So I'm watching them because I was just waiting and wanted to see my car without wheels. So they take all the wheels off and start deflating the tires. Then after deflating they lay the wheel on this clamp with 4 arms that closes around the rim lip to hold it in place while they remove the tire. Well one guy does the first wheel and when he lays it on the clamp, he misses like 2 of the arms and he holds the wheel down while the clamp closes without my wheel in it and the arms scratch over the lip and one arm took a chunk out of one of my spokes. So I watch that wheel to see where it goes on the car. Then after they were done, they gave me my keys and said I could pull it out of the garage. So I go park and look at the wheel to see the damage and went and showed the manager. First he went straight inside and started looking for my wheels on their computer to replace the screwed up one. But they were discontinued like 3 years ago. So he sayed to look their website at their rims and I could get either a discount on new rims or a discount on my next set of tires. I told him I didn't want either because they'd just be making more money off me. So I told him I wanted a discount off the tires I just bought and he gave me $81.84 back. So my new tires (Khumo Ecsta 711 215/45/17) ended up costing an even $300. I'm still pissed because even though I've curbed my rims once or twice or like 6 times, that can be machined down and refinished, the spoke can't. But I've already taken the money back and feel like I got screwed.

Now for pics
New look

Front

Rear

New thick tread

Damaged spoke

Here's the damage

Overall I like the bigger tires. It looks more like it fits on my car now. I thought the lower profile ones looked odd. It also got rid of some wheel gap, so if I lowered it now it would be great.
Compare the wheel gap

Man I forgot about this thread. Well since the tires, I got a new CD player. And I just bought blacksheepdj's kamikaze header/dp and test pipe. So when that comes in I'll post up pics and results and update the whole thread.

He's thinking of something else. I told him to buy the RRM headers for his turbo kit, but he was telling me to buy them for him. But no I bought Kamikaze one, not the RRM one, so Tim, that one is still out there calling out for your credit card lol. Plus remember, you have to have it or you'll be slow.
