Got my Cusco cage installed last week and was in Carlisle for the show this weekend. Attendance was down once again, but it was still a great show. Here's some pics:

LOVE YOUR CAR, couple suggestions though.

You have a show car and i'm sure you have done well, but attention to detail is key. i would really look into rematching your interior with the exterior, as well as removing any carbon fiber stickers inside the car and onl go with molded CF, also replacing your stock wheel could really help you.

hard pipe your recirc from your BOV and match all pipes to exterior, as well as the valve cover. finally, have your radiator supports painted or dipped in chrome, and the radiator replaced with a shiney koyo. These may be things your planing to do, just wanted to give you my .02. My uncle judges classic car shows so i know what they look for.

BUT AS ALWAYS NIIIIIICE CAR.

I've been showing pretty regularly for the past 5 years now and I do know exactly what you're talking about when it comes to details. Without any sponsorships it's very hard to keep up with the elite cars. I make decent money, but this hobby is so expensive, especially when it comes to the point where I'm at with my car. I have most of the bolt-ons and even a lot of custom work, so in order to improve my car, all that's left is really expensive stuff. If I had the $$ I'd have my entire engine bay, charge pipes, and valve cover painted to match the exterior, as well as get some things chromed or polished. For the interior I'd want to go with racing seats, but if I do they'd have to be rare, more expensive brands like status or bride. The reason my interior is the color it is, is because the car used to be silver. When I got it repainted it would have cost me too much to redo the interior to match. And it still will, so I doubt I will change it unless I could get some sponsorship help. At least for now the entire interior matches itself, and same with the engine bay. So yeah, it always comes down to the $$. As far as I know I'm the only regular lancer with the Cusco cage, and my door panels are completely custom so I'm content with the interior for now. I do plan on adding more detail to the engine bay as the show season goes on.

Rear brakes look like crap compared to the fronts! I still have the drums in the rear. I'd love to do the rear disc conversion but I've already spent a lot of $$ this year so I doubt it will happen. We'll see

Once again! AWESOME JOB!!! I'm not sure this got answered in the last thread you made so here it goes... This "Evo" Cusco cage is totally bolt-on to the same points as in the Evo? or was there custom fab work involved? Not like I'm going to afford one, but for future reference...

Damn South Central PA holding it down. Yeah Carlisle was down again this year...don't know how much longer they are going to have it there....it is a shame all the bad press it gets because of how a couple folks act. Anyway nice pics...nice to see some more locals on here.

It is a direct bolt-in, same points as the EVO, although it does take a lot of elbow grease at some points! The clearance is super tight and at some points the cage is right against the headliner. But overall it fits really well. I did a ton of searching to see if anyone could tell me if the regular lancer interior was identical to the EVO and no one was 100% sure. So I got the cage anyway and figured if it didn't fit, I could just sell it. Well, it fit so that answers that question! I was surprised at how much it stiffened up the handling. Definitely a night and day difference from how it handled before.

Yeah I got it from Josh at Fully Loaded in York. He was great to deal with. I'm definitely glad I got it.
