I got hit today... :(

Hey guys. Recently I posted about wanting to get a kit, I've been wanting a kit for a while but I'm glad that I hadn't bought it, and better yet not payed for installing it + paint job. Today I got hit by a truck when I was pulling out of my own driveway. This girl that was driving it, was parked on by the curb next to my driveway, infront of my house. I got in the car, and i started pulling out slowly. I looked over, and so no people walking, and no cars coming, and definately noticed her car, parked. Her car is raised, and has dark black tinted windows. (you'll notice the height compared to my lancer in the pics.) So I kept moving down, and once my trunk was off into the bikelane, her car just reversed into the back of my car. All of a sudden i hear my gf scream "Babe watch out!" and I had no reaction time, and for some reason I just threw the e-brake. Luckily I did, because if not, I would have kept going backwards and her car would have hit the whole left side of my car. I'm only 17, and I already have early signs of artheritis in my mid & lower back... I've gone through therapy, and for the first time in a long time I have had pain in that area again. I stayed home from school, and all day I had difficulty getting up, and have a constant pain whether I'm standing straight, laying down, w/e. It's never been this bad. I talked to my insurance, and her insurance. I did the voice recorded interviews for both. I told them what happened, and about my back. The girl admitted it was her fault to me, but who knows what she said to her insurance and mine.

As soon as she hit me, she moved her car back up. I turned the car off, and left it in place so I can take pictures, and just so the cops could see (but they didnt do anything but a police report of exchanging info)
You cant notice in the pics, but all where the dent is, the paint was completely rubbed off. U can notice how much bigger her car is... She had no damage, AT ALL.
Here are the pics!

edit: I took it in for a estimate evaluation of costs, and it's going to be about $986 to fix it.

Like I said, I was pulling out first when all of a sudden she reversed (fast) into me. She apologized, and we came to a verbal agreement to what she said was "her fault." but when the cops came she said we BOTH backed up at the same time and hit eachother, I quickly said "No. I was out first, and then all of a sudden you hit me." when the insurance asked me "Whos fault do you think it is" I said "It clearly is her fault. I was out first, and she must have not noticed because her car is raised up and has dark black tinted windows (which is against regulations here) and she even said it to me that she hadnt seen me and apologized."

and Yes she's covered. So I hope I'm gonna get covered. She has Century Insurance.

I took it in for a estimate evaluation of costs, and it's going to be about $986 to fix it.

The trunk to rear panel fitment will never be the same! Damage in it that area, like on my Lancer, will never be 100% again. Sorry to hear about this, but you had the right of way because she clearly didn't look behind herself! Next time, get a louder exhaust so they'll notice you...LOL

always get a higher estimate so you can cash out on their insurance and get some parts while you're at it

definetely go through physical therapy since you feeling pain. This will add to your cash out (i know, cuz I had 2 accidents, not my fault tho)
