Junkyard parts
Honestly, it usually depends on the value of the part.
If you pick a part that's exactly the same on both models (wingless trunk, for example), then it should cost the same. If you want a steering wheel, then yeah the Evo one will be more.
Also, bear in mind that it depends. Sometimes the guy behind the counter hates imports and just goes "it's from a Mitsubishi? Ten bucks." and you get a nice cheap deal. Sometimes they go "oh, it's from an Evo? Twenty grand." A lot of these places just kind of "wing it" on the prices, so you get lucky or not.

yeh .. i was looking around for replacement front door windows and one junk yard wanted 55 bucks for both but they're located in upstate ny which is a distance for me. i called another junkyard and they wanted 215!!!! hell no
does the cost of gas/qualtiy of the piece (needing repaint or not) warrant driving there?
Sometimes junkyard parts are worth it. I've replaced both front wheel bearings by pressing them into the hub myself and it was a major PITA. My rear passenger side wheel bearing was bad and I did a car-part search, found a hub for 35 shipped and replaced it in less than an hour. Definately easier, and definately worth it. Used yes, but if it goes out again its 35 bucks for another one. I spent 2 days trying to get the other hubs into the wheel bearing.
