Question Taking LANCER off trunk

I am going to take the LANCER off my trunk. How easy does this come off. do you have to get the truck painted if you peel those letters off?? or do you just have to buff it out?? Anyone help me??

I took a hair dryer to the badge to loosen the glue, it made peeling off the letters a lot easier.

Will the adhesive or glue rub off fairly easy?

ok. get a hairdryer!! do no attempt to do this without heating the area where the lettering is. it wont come off easy!! heat the area aroudn the letter. with some dental floss, start the run it down the back side, kinda peeling the adhesive from the trunk. make sure that you heat the area, and repeat for all areas you want. iif you just try to yank it off, you might peel som eof the paint from you trunk(which is why you use the floss) smart huh? then use goo-gone or some adhesive remover to get the rest of the sticky stuff off. before using the stuff, you should rub it in a not too visible place of your car, to make sure it doesnt rub the paint off. good luck

I didn't use a hairdryer... but it would have made it easier.

I just used floss and goo gone.

I just used the hair dryer and my fingers to pry them off... they came off pretty easy, the just went over the area that the letters were over with some wax to protect the newly exposed paint.

i've never understood on goo gone was effective for this mod. Tried it and yeielded little results in takin any glue off. Its actually more of a rubber cement, which i removed with pain thinner.
