Boost Gauge Finally Installed

Little story for you all. So yesterday i decided to install my boost gauge. I was having problems with my greddy BOV, so i decided to install it to verify my problem. I installed everything turned the car on and everything seemed to be working. The only thing that seemed to be wrong was what the gauge was reading. So i took the car out for a spin and got on the street and gunned the car. The boost kicked in and the gauge would not go past 0. I knew something was wrong. I decided to leave it until tomorrow. It was around 12 midnight. I woke up this morning and took out my greddy BOV and replaced it with another one i had laying around. Put it all together, turned on my car and took it out for a ride. The boost gauge worked great once i put in the other BOV. So it turns out it was a bad BOV and the boost gauge helped my figure that out. Here are some pics of the new gauge! ENJOY!

These pics are from last night with the broken BOV.

So how long had that kit been on there w/o a gauge? And had you having this problem with the BOV ever since the turbo kit install? Was it a geniune Greddy BOV, or a knock-off? If it was a knock-off you need to try taking out the inner spring (there are two I believe) and run it like that!

Best of luck!

No i had the problem when i installed the BOV. It is a real greddy, but i think it was broken. I have only had this problem for about a week and a half. The problem is completly fixed now though,. New BOV.

I like the look of the gauge. Not to sure if I like the pod. It doesnt look very clean to me. If I was gonna put a gauge there I would go with the single gauge CF surround peice that goes in that spot but centers the gauge.

This is just temporary. I am going to get the dual pods for the driver side pillar. I just really needed to get a boost gauge. I plan on getting the air fuel ratio gauge and GReddy turbo timer this week!

thats a glow shift gauge. its the same as a pro sport. pro sport and glow shift are basically the same company. i have a boost gauge installed in my gruppe s panel. the other 2 gauges im getting are oil pressure and egt. on my steering wheel column i plan on getting a o2 wideband (innovate or ill wait for the pro sport wideband). my friend and i installed the pro sport gauge in my car about a week ago ill take some pix this week.

if your planning on getting a/f gauge make sure its a wideband and not a narrowband especially for FI.
