...and already in a wreck!!! I was sitting at a traffic light minding my own business when some dude driving a lincoln town car decides he's going to "misjudge" his breaking distance and dislocate my rear bumper. I had the car for only 2-3 weeks, but when I owned the EVO for 7-8 months I never had a problem. To top it off, the guy had no insurance coverage, apparently he forgot to pay his bill . Lucky for me my insurance will pay for everything, including a rented Mazda 6, without raising my rates. So, watch your 6 guys!

 

Ouch so you went from having to an Evo with no problems to a Lancer and you get in a wreck the first 2 weeks? Ouch .. Why did you decide to give up the evo?

I'm assuming everywhere it is.. But doesn't stop people from doing it.


I believe there was a fact out for AZ that 48% of the motorists who lived here(2005) were uninsured.

I feel for you. Way back in '03 i had just bought my OZ and promptly got deployed for 6 months ( thanks a lot Uncle Sam ) and when i came back, i was home not even two weeks and some asshat decides to back into my car. I had pulled out of a parking space and theis old geezer pulled out right after me and hit my L/F fender. I was livid. Never mind the fact that i was on the horn the whole time i was watching him.

why did you post this in lancer show and shine?
if its only the bumper you shouldn't be without your car for too long, i had a mustang hit my lancer but it didn't do much damage; i was also at a red light. some people... lol

That's how I got my JDM IX rear... from some knucklehead hitting my car. So it worked out for the better for me!

 

that's when I would deliver a special packaged fist to the face, lol, but do what ^ this guy did, upgrade that sombich!!!!!! lol, hope everything gets better for you

 

That just sucks man! Yeah, like they said...is that illegal there? Do you call the cops? Did they know he didn't have insurance?

 

Wow, I don't know why I posted this in this particular forum, lol. To be honest, I have no freakin clue as to why I gave up the EVO. Maybe I was just too worried I couldn't afford to pay for her and keep her maintained properly, guess I jumped the gun and didn't think that part through when I bought it. As far as upgrading, well...I plan on doing nothing to this car. I also don't know whether or not the guy that hit me got away with not having an active insurance policy but either way he is screwed. None of this is going to stop me from TRYING to trade this one back in for the very LAST IX that rice has sitting on the lot, lol. I'll definately go straight to financial hell if I do that though, heh.
