would 225 40 18 fits on the lancer

well i have 18" rims but no tires. a friend has 225 40 and i was wondering would those cause any rubbing? i know the recommended is 215 35. oh and the offset of the rims are 45.

I havent gotten my rims yet but if your offset is 45 you will definately want to get the skinniest and most narrow tire you can. I think a 225/40 would b too wide and too tall for the 45 offset. Post some pics when you get them on.

I have 215's and the inside is less than .5 inches from the strut housing, and the outside is right under the fender in the rear and 1mm outside the fender in the front......225's will be WAY to big.

so if the offset is 45 then what tires should i get. dun know much about these things.
